After losing both parents at a young age, Lai Yat-tsau becomes a parent figure for his three younger sisters. His mother’s death and his father’s fall to drug addiction turned Yat-tsau into a very quick-tempered and chauvinistic man. Originally assigned to the Kwun Tong Police Station, Yat-tsau’s superior transfers him to the K-9 unit to work with police dogs, hoping that the strict training would better shape his character. At this new department, he develops a partnership with veterinarian Ma Chi-ho, who helps him solve cases for the police.

MA CHI-CHUNG and his co-worker ship the dog, BROTHER, to the animal shelter run by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD), where CHI-CHUNG's older sister, MA CHI-HO, immediately tends to BROTHER's wound after seeing the dog hurt and bleeding. After checking out the dog, CHI-HO suspects that BROTHER was abused. As for YAT-CHOW, he has to be hospitalized after being bitten by BROTHER, and the wound makes him feel itchy and painful. Mistaking CHI-HO for a police officer, YAT-CHOW describes the moment he was bitten by the dog. YAT-CHOW learns that his new boss is the legendary cop, CHUNG WAI-KIN, and feels very excited. KUNG-YAN intends to clean the kennel, but fails to do so because BROTHER seems very aggressive. CHI-HO then offers some tips to KUNG-YAN, teaching him how to earn BROTHER's trust. Meanwhile, KAM-PO wants YAT-CHOW to throw him in jail in hopes of evading capture by KAM-TONG.… ...
