The recruits struggle with digging their shellscrapes, and Michael later makes a startling discovery about one of his section mates. Meera is all prepared for her day of volunteering at Joel Gardner's Support for Migrant Workers' Centre, even bringing along her own teaching material, but Joel has other plans for her in mind.
