The setting is a temple in the mountains of Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. Since the time of the previous abbot, the temple has been involved in the protection of abandoned cats, and now many people visit the temple to see the cats. Some seek solace, others see themselves in the cats. On the other hand, not only the visitors, but also each cat has its own story before arriving at the temple. This film focuses on the stories of cats and people by setting up a camera at the temple.
