Customers, including shoppers and residents of the nearby downtown area, are constantly pouring into the store 24 hours a day. The program closely observes the store in the last week of March, which is bustling with “rush demand” before the tax hike. Some shoppers bought large quantities of consumable goods, while others were carried away by the momentum of the rush and grabbed unnecessary items.
