Leave the jest when it pleases you best

As the family is setting the table for lunch, Tip puts the tablecloth over his head and jumps out from behind the door, making Daddy jump; everyone laughs. Then Tip sneaks up on Grandpa while he’s reading his newspaper and makes him jump, too. For the rest of the day Tip has fun making everyone jump: his Mommy, his aunts… but after a while nobody laughs any more, and he wonders why...
