On the night before the finals, Ash's mom, Mimey, and Professor Oak arrive at Manolo Stadium to cheer for Ash. The wild Meltan also arrive, and with their help, Meltan surprises everyone by evolving into Melmetal! The next day is the ultimate showdown between two strong rivals - Ash vs. Gladion! This time, it's a 3-on-3 match. For their first Pokémon, Gladion chooses Silvally for his first Pokémon, while Melmetal makes its battle debut for Ash! Unfortunately, Silvally is too strong and Melmetal is quickly defeated. Ash sends in Pikachu, who defeats Silvally. Gladion then sends in Lycanroc... But Ash is shocked when the Lycanroc uses a move that it cannot learn! What's going on?!
