In the Spanish mountains, Jørgen and Nikolaj have laced up their hiking boots. The target is the rock partridge - a small, shy fellow that is faster than both the eye and the trigger. The hunt requires many steps up and down steep paths, and the legs quickly become heavy. But that's nothing compared to the challenge of even getting a hit on the bird. Because if they miss the shot, it's not a delicious chicken dish that's on the menu, but a portion of smooth, slimy sea snails.

To get right under the feathers of their prey, they also try to live like a seagull - from the quayside to the city's rooftops. But the seagull life is not for the faint of heart, and if the mission fails, they have to sink their teeth into a chicken with blue meat.

Roughly in the middle of Denmark lies Sprogø - and here Jørgen and Nikolaj cast their line together for the last time. The dream is to bring home a sea trout. But this trip is something very special: It is Jørgen's last hunt with Nikolaj. They share the silence, the wind and the memories of the years together - and of course also make sure to keep their palates moist with cold beer. But the sea trout is capricious, and if it fails to appear, the journey ends with mysterious remains from the bottom of a sinister freezer.
