Armed Reaction is a 1998 Hong Kong modern cop drama produced by TVB. The drama stars Bobby Au-yeung and Esther Kwan as the main leads with Joyce Tang, Marco Ngai, Mimi Chu and Joe Ma in main supporting roles. The drama takes place before 1997 Handover of Hong Kong and Royal Hong Kong Police revolves around the lives of two police woman, one who works leisurely behind desk duty but has to take her job more seriously once her husband leaves her and a new rookie cop who is deemed too ambitious and rash by her superior.

HEI admits to the police that he has killed TSUN by dangerous driving. TUNG expands his power by illegal football gambling, which causes a trend in his territory. SANG is assigned to control illegal gambling, so he hands out promotional leaflets around his district. KEN takes his job seriously. CHI admires him and treats him as good friend. SANG tells CHI to keep some distance from KEN as he has an eye on her. But she scolds him for interfering with her personal life. HO loses some important document and is scolded by KEN. MUI’s staff CHUEN is chased after by TUNG’s subordinates PAU for some loan from illegal gambling. SANG has gathered enough evidence to prove that PAU is involved in illegal bookmaking. However, SANG aims to find the bookmaker. TUNG’s subordinates TAN and KAI beat up PAU because he does not give TUNG all the money from the bets. Some loan sharks mess up MUI’s restaurant when they try to find CHUEN.
