Lan met Hung at the hairdresser and learnt that she was cheated again by On. On took all of Lan’s jewelry. Lan was hurt and helpless. Kiu did not need to work after marriage and found it boring. She met Ming at the pub and was invited to become the art director for his commercial. Kiu agreed. On brought Hung home and Lan was depressed. Yet she could do nothing. Ngo took an opportunity and persuaded Hei to leave Chiu alone. Hei flew into a temper and scolded Ngo. Chiu then told Hei he treated her as a sister and Hei left in anger. Hei carried a bag of coal and handed in her resignation to Chiu. Chiu and Ngo mistook her for trying to commit suicide and went to look for her in Sai Kung. When they discovered the truth, they were both embarrassed.
