Candied Orange Peel

Candied Orange Peel is delicious and versatile. Pastry chefs make it as a treat on its own, and to add a sweet, delicate citrus accent to a number of desserts. Anna begins by candying orange peel and then turning it into a confection, Chocolate Dipped Orange Peel. Next Anna uses that same candied orange peel as a key ingredient in a Classic Fruitcake. Then for a restaurant-worthy dessert, Anna creates a real showstopper, Southern Lane Cake: three layers of vanilla cake with crunchy meringue frosting and a gooey centre featuring candied orange peel.
