Trading Spaces was an hour-long American television reality program that aired from 2000 to 2008 on the cable channels TLC and Discovery Home. The format of the show was based on the BBC TV series Changing Rooms. The show ran for eight seasons.
This episode of Trading Spaces will feature yet another first: we will be redecorating rooms in a women's shelter outside of Little Rock, Ark. We have four very enthusiastic and deserving teammates on this one. Joyce and Vebra are staff members at CASA, Inc., a shelter serving women who are seeking to escape abusive relationships. Joyce and Vebra not only work at the shelter, but they are on call several days a week and live there part time. Vebra, a former victim of abuse, decided to make women's advocacy her life's work after she received help getting out of an abusive relationship. She now spends her time helping other women reclaim control over their lives. Together, she and Joyce will redecorate a room in the ""residents"" side of this very large house, which is in need of some TLC. On the other team are Tammy and Leslie, two women who currently reside at the shelter.
