Part 3 ("The Serial Killer") is centered around the theory that Kenley Matheson met suspected serial killer Andrew Paul Johnson the weekend before he went missing. Part 4 ("The Seeker") goes back in time and traces the Kenley's story from his Cape Breton youth to his motorcycle "gap years" prior to enrolling at Acadia University.

In Part 10 ("The Missing Link") Kenley's mother goes to meet this new person of interest, followed by an interview with the suspect's sister, who links her sibling directly with Kenley's disappearance.
