The first episode examines some of the plots which made front-page news, from the Weatherfield One to Sarah-Louise Platt's teenage pregnancy. The programme reveals the stories behind the stories and also includes previously unseen footage of a 1960s plotline which was so controversial it was cut after being leaked by the papers. Narrated by David Morrissey.
