Verdi: Requiem The 84th season of Henry Wood Promenade Concerts opens with Verdi's vivid setting of the Reauiem. Written at the height of his powers, it expresses the ancient Latin text through glorious melodies for the four soloists, and superb choral climaxes. BBC2 joins with Radio 3 to relay tonight's concert live in stereo direct from the Royal Albert Hall.
