The Traditional Catholic Teaching on Creation: Testimony from Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition

The Genesis account of creation and the early history of mankind forms the firm foundation of the Catholic Faith. These truths are as integral to the Gospel as the moral perfection of Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Resurrection. Indeed, these truths are even more fundamental, because without the doctrine of a very good creation marred by sin, the very notion of mankind's need for a Redeemer involving the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Christ could be called into question.
