He tackles Kanten, a food that's made from seaweed and then dried outside in sub-zero temperatures. He catches a kind of whitefish and sorts males from females with his bare hands in freezing spring water. And he gropes for lotus root deep in the wintry mud! If he can accomplish his mission, he may get a chance to sample some classic winter delights. But it won't be easy!
