December of 1941. Life in Lisbon changed with the War. A mysterious accident in a wolfram mine brings to the capital the engineer Siegfried Brenner. Larenz, a III Reich spy, keeps a close eye in the engineer. At the same time, he controls every step of Rose Lawson, the best friend of Maria João. In the PVDE dungeons, suspected of subversive activities, the casapiano Roberto Moisés - father and devout spouse -, is interrogated and tortured by officer Paulo.
